Mr. Tada is a Field Technician/GIS Specialist at Oxbow Associates, Inc., a wetlands and wildlife consulting company providing a broad range of ecological services and specializing in rare wildlife study and mitigation. He has implemented natural resource management projects for over 10 years and has developed expertise in environmental GIS and biogeography in the Northeast region during the last seven years. He also has considerable experience in technical report writing and reviewing. Mr. Tada earned a master’s degree in Geographic Information Science with a focus on understanding the spatial effects of human activities on the ecological landscape. He has particular interest in identifying and sustaining habitats for diverse wildlife, including amphibians, reptiles, and birds.

Mr. Tada performs geospatial analyses for wildlife habitat assessments, and prepares reports and GIS plans for permit applications under applicable wetlands and endangered species regulations. He collects spatial data by a variety of methods including GPS site survey, wildlife radio-telemetry, and CAD translation. He assists amphibian and reptile surveys and habitat use studies, and integrates biological field data into a GIS framework. He conducts volunteer field surveys for the Massachusetts Breeding Bird Atlas and the Christmas Bird Count. He is also a member of the Ayer Conservation Commission.
